Department of Education (DET) Medical Advisory Service
The Medical Advisory Service is a telephone advisory service for Managers and Principals (across Victoria) provided by a team of qualified occupational health professionals who are familiar with the Department's human resource management policies, employee health obligations and the operational requirements of schools.
The Medical Advisory Service provides the following
1. Advice to Managers and Principals on the management of staff members experiencing (psychological and physical) health related difficulties that impact on their ability to perform the duties associated with their employment
2. Advice to Principals and Managers regarding the selection of appropriate medical practitioners to conduct medical assessments on behalf of the Department.
