  • Provide prior communication about workers compensation
  • Provide access to medical treatment on the first day
  • Arrange transport / escort worker to doctor
  • Involve Doctors who set expectations for recovery and explain how injury will affect worker’s ability to perform job
  • Involve Drs who provide enough information about workers comp, medical condition and how to speed recovery
  • Regularly stay in touch with worker during recovery period
  • Treat injury as genuine
  • Have a formal Return-to-Work program
  • Encourage / support RTW as soon as possible
  • Provide a modified job environment until fully recovered
  • Provide job security
